Found out who it was and have added the details to the 1st post. He was using a GrewHawk screen.

Is that really Saving Private Ryan? Scene doesn't look familiar & no Captain's rank on helmet. I'm guessing Forrest Gump?

The " UMP" on his backpack is a dead giveaway.

Great pictures. What camera did you use? And you indicate 1080i and 720p, what was your source?

Yep they looked a tad bit bluish to me. Perhaps he should have set a different color temperature, I think the projector has 4 or 5 options for color temp.

"If the blacks are like those shown in the pictures I will be happy"

Not even close (see my earlier post). I've noticed that all screenshots, even of LCD's, show the blacks as being XLNT.

It didn't look that bluw when I saw it. It did lack warmth or richness, though.

Yeah.. blue tint was my thought too.. Blue Streak suffers from it the most http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif Is it just me or real flesh tones are lacking? Specially in Gladiator. The scenes selected are not a good test of black level.

Sharp Pictures. These are great Screenshots. What Camera? Lens? Film? Speeds? Scanning/Developing?

Are these great enough to make me think it'll kill CRT's?... hmm highly unlikely. A <$4000 7" probably goes deeper and very rich with colours.... if only one could get half decent screenshots.

Are these screenshots taken by the reviewer of that magazine ?

so, Greyhawk screen thus ?

the blue tint is appealing to me, kinda http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif , it goes well with these images. don't ask me why.

but I'd like to see this projector with CHARLIES ANGELS, DARK CITY, THE RELIC ( a nightmare for digital projectors ), PREDATOR, BARRY LYNDON and it's only-candles lights or BEN HUR.

Patrick,

That was my exact thought also!! Other than that the sharpness/detail of the pictures is incredible.
