My lamp just blew with 650 hours on it. I did some research on the internet and found two different bulbs. The first one matches the number on the one that blew...BQC-XVZ100001. The other one has a part number of ANK10LP/1. According to the vendor "It is a Sharp factory original replacement part". Does anyone know anything about this replacement bulb? Same lumens output? Fixes the flicker problem? Thanks, TeeTime

I am having difficulting even getting a replacement bulb from Sharp for my 9000U. But that is for another discussion.

By mistake I was sent just the lamp without the module. I could not get the existing module open to replace the lamp and called Sharp for assisstance on how to replace the lamp in the module. Sharp indicated that the separate lamp should not have been sent and I should always get the module + lamp assemble as that is the only part under warranty. I had no alternative but to send it back. Now I can't get the lamp + module as Sharp is unable to come up with one. :-(

i just bought a new z10k lamp from Price Japan and the box is labelled with BOTH those above mentioned numbers.

From what i was told a while back, these hi-pressure mercury lamps can not be refurbished unlike some other lamps so you have to buy them brand new.

And based on the image output with my new lamp over my old lamp (which had 1700hours on it before it exploded..sigh) ..all i can say is WOW!

I didn't realise how much the image had dulled over the past year.. it now has that much loved "snap" i remember seeing in the first few hours of use :)

BTW Price Japan is VERY cheap and easy to buy from (i saved over 50% of the retail price through these guys) and it took less than a week from Japan to Australia (it would have been a day earlier, but stupid DHL screwed up my delivery by a day)

mgoldsmith,

Never mind, I found it. The Price Japan listed price is lower then the previously mentioned vendor by about 15%, however it comes with no warranty outside of Japan. The previously listed vendor has a 90 day warranty in the US.
