I am going to be making some changes to my home theater room. As such

I will be moving my Epson 500 to a temporary location. One choice is

large wall unit. The shelves are quite far apart and with the front exhaust

it seemed that this would be a safe temporary location. Does anyone know

of any issues with shelf mounting this projector.

I have one of mandarax's mounts for when things are all said and done.

No issues at all with shelf mounting. Just make sure you're leaving a slight gap for air to come thru the cooling vent, which if I'm not mistaken is at the bottom.

I've seen many installations like this and they work well.

Brian - I have mine shelf mounted, and it works well. Just give it a bit of breathing room around the air intake (on the same side as the exhaust), and you are fine.

Thanks Guys,

I have it set up as a shelf mount right now and it is working great.

I will likely leave it this way for a while.
