Might seem like a strange comparison, but I will own both soon and wanted to ask if anyone on this forum would think that the Sherbourn 5/5210 could replace the Yamaha M-80. I like the Class A up to 30 watts feature on the Yamaha that currently drives my Triton Twos, but the Sherbourn is probably 20 years newer (2003 vs. 1985). I have not had the Yammy checked out, so the capacitors and all that might need replacing. Sounds good to me, but I have a 7.1 speaker layout that needs to be driven as well, so that's the reason for adding a 5-channel amp. Sources are typically high res and standard def audio and my HK AVR 630 is doing the DAC from my home theater PC (digital PCM optical output).
