shielded speaker cable

unfortuntally in my room set up I have to put a speaker right under or below a bank of dimmers. Is this going cause a hum in the speaker??? I am thinking of running shielded speaker cable, will this fix any potential problems I might have???


What brand do you recommend?? I need about 100'

Jeff, speaker signals are of high enough voltage and current, and the speakers are not sensitive enough, for power to induce audible noise.

Speakers are low impedance devices, it would be very difficult to induce an interfering signal into them.
