Last Christmas, I got an Amazon 25% off coupon from American Express.

Used it towards a Canon DSLR. Took 25% off the already low Amazon price at

the time. The coupon's maximum discount was $150. So I took off $150 off

the $1200 DSLR.


If I have another one of those coupons right now, it will immediately bring

the HV20 below $716.... ($866 minus $150)


Electronics pricing is really mind-boggling. I just ordered a Sharp front projector

for $1999. One year ago, the list price was over $10000 (if you go to the

under-$3000 projector section of AVS forums, you'll see that thread)

Well, it's $967.94 now.
