Wow! responding to my own posts! :D I have found other mini-case that might make a good HTPC with the addition of a radeon and SPDIF compatibable sound card

FIC Sabre:

It has a DVI port, does this mean i can connect a digital LCD monitor directly? I saw a silver version at fry's today for $299, its surpisingly small and has 3 open PCI ports on a riser card. It had an on board optical connecter (is this SPDIF?)

I would assume with a DVI port, yes you can connect LCD digital monitor. If it had an optical out, yes that must be spdif. Although the sound card or whatever component it is on would have to support spdif out.

This is cool, you could fit two of these in a nice size tower case, and use them in tandem.:)

These are really cool! If they allowed for a good graphics card and faster CPU/bus, I would be a buyer.

according to the japanese website this mb can take a 1GHz P3 and it does have 3 PCI slots! PCI radeon or Geforce for less than 100 bucks should work. the power supply is 120W and should be enough for a CPU and 1 15W PCI card.

Is there a good thread about using flash memory as opposed to a HD?

I think I would like two slots. One AGP and one PCI. No micro motherboards for the P4 yet? I suppose you could try to fit a new micro mb with an old case...
