Hi all,


I'm having difficulties for a setup in a room where the projector can only be placed on a table 80 cm (2.6 feet) high and a screen about 2 meters (6.5 feet) distant and projection base about 120 cm (4 feet) high from floor.

I was pointing at the BenQ W1080ST but without vertical Lens Shift I don't think I'll ever manage the setup....

Is there anything out there good quality (1080P) which has both short throw + LS ?

No technology restraint (DLP, 3LCD, LED, etc), no 3D issue and no budget problems....

Not that I've seen. Your throw angle is pretty severe which further complicates the setup.


At the end of the day, it's not a typical setup, so it isn't a projector which is worth making, so nobody makes it. The W1080ST is really the only decently priced short throw 1080p home theater projector that I have seen. Adding in lens shift just isn't something that is likely, and the amount of lens shift you need is actually quite a bit, so that's even less likely.


Sounds like you will have to change your setup for this to work.
