I've been doing a bit of research on powering a whole bunch of subwoofers since working out how many drivers I need in this thread .

From what I understand, 'bus pumping', is a real issue with Class D amps (those designed as half bridged) when delivering a lot of power. It seems the only way around this is to bridge the amp.

Are all class D amps designed as half bridged? How do I know a full bridged design? Where do I find this information? And, finally, why is it that bridged Class D designs are often *not* 4X the 8 Ohm power?
