I am thinking about buying the combo of the lg 3d tv that comes with 4 glasses and a 3d bluray player. I have not gotten to see a demo of this setup and wanted to see if anybody had any ideas on the TV's 2d and 3d picture quality. should i go with a different brand?

It is one heck of a buy especially with the glasses and the 3d DVD as part of the package. However if 3D is the most important part of this purchase I thing you will be disappointed because of the ghosting issues. Currently all 3D TV's have some ghosting issues with Panasonic having the least amount.

Where can I buy a 3D DVD player? I've seen a few 3D BD players, but not a 3D DVD player. Sounds interesting, but I haven't seen any 3D DVDs for sale just a few 3D BDs.

If you have not already purchased, check out this thread:

If you are looking primarily for the best 3D experience currently available, I would be thinking plasma.
Concur with above. Plasma is excellent. Panny does great 3D, as do the Samsungs with the latest firmware..........essentially a tie with crosstalk....
