I have a Hitachi CP-X300 with 1200 hours on the bulb. Mellowed a bit at 400 and is just now getting a little dull. It may stay this way for another 1000 hours, who knows, but at some point a bulb is in my future. Researched the replacement on the net. The OEM Hitachi brand bulb costs 30% more (about $100) than the "OEM replacement" (generic) ones. Is there any difference?? Some of the generic ones have a longer six month warranty as well.


I'm looking for feedback from people who have bought generic bulbs from places like Electrified or Advanced Lamps. Are the generic bulbs really the equivalent of the OEM.
