Well I'm about to make the purchase, and I want some of you to chime in with your votes and oppinions on whether or not I should get the extended warranty from Circuit City for my new Hitachi 51S500.


Let me know what your thought are.

My general feelings are no (I rarely buy extended warranties). Most failures are within the warranty period (but not all). For such an investment, a little insurance can't hurt. If you can afford it, why not?

i bought it.....good peace of mind if nothing else. hope nothing goes wrong....until the very end of the warranty, then it'll come in use with a brand new set.
