Hi everyone! I've been looking to purchase an "older" (if you want to call 2010 old) PN58C6500 for some time and have been ready to pull the trigger, but see that the new 2011 line is about to be released... which has left me pondering if I should just wait for the new PN59D6500?

I've owned a Samsung PN50A550 since July 2008 and have been quite happy with it. The plan is to retire the last CRT TV in the bedroom by putting the PN50A550 in its place and put the shiny new 58" in the living room.

What do you all think? Should I just get the PN58C6500 now or hold out for the PN59D6500? Are there any major improvements in the 2011 models over last years C models?

Thanks!

Also, I've noticed that the MSRP on the new PN59D6500 is only about $300 more than I'm seeing the PN58C6500 go for, which only adds to the pondering!

The D6500 has the same 'second best' Anti-Glare filter as last year. (It is the D7000 that got upgraded to their 'best' AG filter.)

I still agree, though, due to the other reason you stated, as well as other small improvements.

Is there an official release date for this model? I see that Amazon shows it as not being available for "1 to 2 months".

Thanks!

** Nevermind, I see that this model is now available at certain stores, Amazon is just slow on the uptake - thanks! **
