Here is your chance to vote and post you opinion on why or why not Porn should be allowed on Blu-Ray.

Me personally, I think for the health of the format it needs to be allowed. Being at CES and seeing what is available and what is coming out, I just foresee good things coming from the adult industry supporting blu-ray. With the available space of the BD-50 discs it would really give the technology a chance to shine with extras/different camera angles/etc.
It is allowed.

Should it be made easier for them to actually put titles out? Sure. But for the time being it doesn't really make any difference. The porn industry produces too little HD content as it is. Contrary to what the HD DVD groupies think, porn isn't a deciding factor in this format war.
Just for your information pr0n is allowed for BD they aren't just supporting it now as they want to give the resources to major movie studios. There are already a few pr0n BD movies out there. You my friend has fallen under some HD-DVD bs.
Yes and it is allowed anyway. Whether I buy them at $50 is another issue.
I should have reworded it... when I say allowed I mean with no flack from Sony or anyone... meaning all the guys that "had" to go to HD-DVD because of Sony not wanting to allow them to manufacture porn on BD, she they have been allowed with no hassle?
I voted yes and I don't even care for porn. I do, however, have a complete disdain for censorship. I sure don't want Sony or any other corporation empowered to be a bloody censor!

This is what it is about for me. I am an occasional pr0n veiwer. I won't pay 50 bucks for it though. Censorship is unacceptable. One of freedom's costs is that you have to accept others freedom as well even if you don't like it.

Let the market decide. People will either buy it or they wont. If the past economics hold it will sell well.
I like porn well enough, but I doubt I'll buy a Blu Ray porn movie unless something really special comes along (something that'd interst my GF in multiple viewings). But without question porn should be allowed on the format (and my understanding is that it already is). It's assinine for any content to be barred from a format by a company or consortium. If people don't like it, they don't have to buy it.
Not that I buy porn movies but I thought the issue was that Sony did not want to mass produce BD for the porn industry which would mean it would have cost the porn industry alot of money to mass produce the discs themselves. Sony can't stop them from buying a BD burner and burning their movies on their own. So basically, the decision was sort of more of a financial decision than a legality issue? Anyways, I am sort of happy about the decision. I just hope Sony doesn't choose to do this with normal movie studios.
Looks like Pat Robertson has been hanging out in the forums. Remember, porn is free speech, so those 8% of you who dont want porn on BD, well you're fascists.
You know, there are some things I'd just as soon not see in high definition.

This is why I hope that P0rn moves more to the younger gals with better bodies. High Def is good for the hot chicks.

"Special"... like what?

Please elaborate and let us know...

I think somebody should start a public poll (and with a time limit) on the common forum asking if people believe that "Debby Does Dallas" will be released on Blu-ray in the next few months. Then we could see then how reality matched the perception here.

I don't mind if they want to put out porn on either format but I'm not really sure if I want to see porn that clearly. I mean seriously - given the availability of porn on SD dvd and internet and magazines and whatnot - do we really NEED HD format porn?

In my case especially, since I only have one BD player (PS3) and it's in the living room connected to my big tv (47" westy). While I love watching movies with groups of friends - I do not share the same desire with porn! :p
Judging by the desire for porn that I've seen in other BD/HD DVD threads, I predict that we'll see many posts in the future of people complaining about stuck buttons on their remotes. Ewwww!
