I have mainly used my PS3 for movies and was playing with Windows 7 beta last night. Was trying the Play To function of Windows 7 and I got it to work with my xbox once I connected it to media center. But my PS3 doesn't show in my list of devices under my network. My PS3 does see my computers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is the PS3 a shared device? Is it wired?

If you are wireless i believe hard wiring may fixc that . My XP PC sees my PS3 through my router, and ni never did a thing

I had it wired, and it saw it as a shared device.

Now, it's wireless, and it still sees it.

PS3 is hardwired and have never seen it on my PC. I didn't see any settings on PS3 to allow it to be seen. I am able to ping the ip.

Did you try "search for media servers" in the XMB?

Funny I have a Mac that's dualbooting Tiger and XP and I find media sharing is considerably easier in XP than in OSX. I've actually gotten so fed up with using OSX for any media center capabilities that I'm probably just going to download Mac Drive so I can access all my music and movies that are on my OSX partition in XP.

Yes. It sees all 3 computers and my WHS. But no pcs see my ps3. Was really wanting to try the Play To feature in Windows 7 beta.

I just happened to notice this on my screen.

a dlna protocol error 2006 has occurred

I guess that is the issue. How to fix.. don't know yet.

*Bump*

I'm in the exact same situation and I can't figure it out either. My router sees it and I can ping it, but they can't see each other.
