Last night before bed, I initiated a net-connect, in the hope that 3.0 would arrive.


Instead, when I awoke, the Showstopper power light was off, hard disk was running, pure black screen, and no response to any remote command or to the front panel power button. LOCKED UP!


I cycled power. the screen came up saying "Please wait a few moments", churned the hard disk - then the screen went blank, power light went out, and HD activity stopped (but it kept spinning). Oh crap.


Power cycled again. Same message, but then got a panasonic/Replay intro screen I don't remember ever seeing before.


WHAT HAPPENED?

Could my unit have had an "identity crisis" and tried to download 3.0, then crash because it was RPTV software trying to run on a Panasonic unit?

Yeah, but all it did was reset my computer. Stupid Showtopper!
