I've notice that a couple of movies that are HD display 4 black bars on my set. I am not talking about a 4:3 image. The bars are very thin but are on all four sides of my screen. I've only seen this on 2 movies so far and I don't have this problem with hbohd or any other hd programing. Is this normal?

Just did a search (I guess I should of done that before I posted) and found that some are receving this "window boxing" effect but are not sure if it is showtime or the recevier. Boy's and Girls are on right now and I'm seeing a window box image again. Anyone else?

From what I understand from reading about it previously is that it's a combination of Showtime and a persons display. In other words, it's an "issue" on Showtimes end, but only people with very little or no overscan on their display, see it. For example I have average overscan on my RPTV and it's filling the screen all the way around.

From what I understand true HD showtime movies don't

do this, but OAR upconverts can. They just encode

it that way on certain movies...
