Hi. I have the SB51G SFF PC with 2.53Ghz P4,

512MB RAM, Pioneer DVR-A05 burner, RH8 fully

patched. I have installed Freevo and it launches

successfully. I also have MPlayer and so on.

I want to attach this to my new Pioneer Elite 530HD

either through the VGA or the DVI connector. I had

the 530HD ISF calibrated at install last week.

Can anyone point me to the proper XF86Config

for this? I'm not entirely certain how to compare

the 530HD's capabilities to the appropriate config.

I'd like to set a screen density good for playing back

DVDs and surfing web (the SS51G has a CV21

DVD/Video out AGP card and a Linksys wireless

LAN PCI card) without worrying about overscan.

Thanks in advance. -Gary

Assuming by now noone has attempted this, you need to provide more information. Specifically the scanrate of your TV, it's native mode(720p or 1080i) and such. Modelines need all this.

It's a 53" RPTV with 2 DVI/HDCP inputs, 2

component inputs and a VGA input. The VGA

connection is at 33.75kHz horizontal, 60Hz vertical

and supports 1080i, where the components support

480i at 15.734khz, 480p at 31.468kHz, 720p at

45.00kHz and 1080i at 33.75kHz. The manual also says the DVI inputs only accepts 1080i/480p.

I've got 640x480 normal VGA output OK. But

between the size of the screen and the overscan,

there is little I can do with it. I'd like to set it as

high as practical so that the overscan is

accomodated and I can see the entire image.

Thanks for responding -- I hope this leads to

more information. -Gary
