Why do TVs come with all of these post processors to compensate for defects in the source. What especially pisses me off is movies recorded at 24 fps and than TVs are forced to interpolate them if you want smooth motion. They should just record the damn movie at 60 fps and let you drop frames if you want the "cinematic" look.

there are plenty of sets that, from a compatible source such as a BluRay Disc player, that will display 24p 'directly' without all that fake post processing. look for them, sounds like that is what you want.


for other sources, you can just turn the processing off (but of course you will have paid for it nonetheless.) good luck
