Need some input guys -- please.

About to rock my HT room and have ran all my cables. My dilemma- Where my seats end up being are perpendicular to the door so no speaker directly to the right-- so my surrounds will need to go either 2 feet in front of ear level or 3 1/2 feet behind - due to electrical panel---- What do I do? I guessing forward- Not sure on speakers yet. Room is 15x22. Doing 7.1....

Thanks!

Given your two choices, I would go with the 2 feet in front option. It will sound more spacious than 3.5 feet behind AND will maintain better rear-vs-side separation in the surround field.

Agreed. THX recommends 90 to 110 degrees on the side speakers so if you can't put it at 90 then put it forward.
