Hello,

Hope this is the right spot for this question and sorry for rambling :)

I am building my HT in my living room piece by piece and now have a Sylvania HDTV tuner to connect to my antennae on the roof. This older antennae already gives standard Off the air signals to three other TV's in the other parts of the house. (no cable)

My hopes are to use a splitter and or more to:

have HDTV and standard TV to the new projector thru the HDTV tuner.

And keep standard TV to the other three TVs in the house. I figure I could use a splitter before the HDTV tuner for that.

Now the kicker, it would be nice if sometimes I could send the HDTV signal to the other TVs and was wondering if they is such a thing as AB switch for coax? ( I realize that if I'm watching HDTV in the back of the house I'll have to go to the living room to use the remote on the HDTV tuner)

thanks for any help,

There is no way to ship the HD signal out of your Zenith over RF to another TV, you would need a seperate tuner at each location that could pull the signal off your antenna.

The best you could do is send a downcoverted SD signal from the STB to other TVs. I've used an RF modulator or an extra VCR fed from a composite signal from an HD STB to output a channel 3 SD signal to other TVs.

Thanks for the info folks, it does help.

I am thinking of taking the main signal coax line from the roof antennae(OTA stuff for me, not cable or dish) and put it into a Motorola signal booster. (bought it online)

Then put a two way splitter with one going to the back three TV's(got an existing splitter there) and the other one going to the Sylanvia SRZ3000 and then to the projector.

So I am hoping for regular TV stations in the back like always and standard and HDTV in the living room where I will be using my new projector.

If this sounds screwy, please let me know as I don't really know what I'm doing :)

thanks for the help
