I currently have a 2 bay usb enclosure with 2x2tb drives running individually. I am running out of space and would like to have a cleaner bigger external enclosure and I really like the silverstone DS351.

Since this supports 5 drives I would like to buy 5 x 2tb drives. I have seen most people use this with 500gb or 750gb drives and wanted to know if this would still work? I will only be using this for storage and playback.

Kinda expensive for 5 hard drive storage.

If you have your heart set on it, then go for it. Don't see why 2TB should be a problem (unless there are some driver/firmware issues).

If choice is flexible, there are many other cases out there which can hold a whole lot more for a lot less.

Newegg has a few 5, 8 and 10-bay storage towers with esata connections with a port multiplier. Prices range from $100-$500.

I agree its very expensive for a 5 bay. Also I'd look into SATA6 or USB3 enclosure just to future proof. But ofcourse 2TB SATA6 drive is like $350 but just something to think about.
