That info is wrong. The Ht5000 went up $4K. All the lenses for the Ht500 are priced the same. Price increases were retroactive to January 1. If a dealer had a PO in before that date, the old price would apply to the merchandise covered by the PO. I don't have the [price increases for the other items in the line. Jason could be right there.

$4K more for the exact same HT5000? Or $4k more because the newer HT5000 have a newer lense?

All the lenses for the HT5000 are now the same price (whereas before the price varied based on throw) but prices did go up on some of the lenses.

I think Jason meant a $1000 increase on SIM2 single DLP chip projs.

If not in a hurry, just wait 6 mths.

I predict they will lower their prices back down after they start to lose sales.


Weakening economy + rising prices = lowered sales

(especially in the electronics market)
