Is there any issue with buying a 7.1 receiver, but only have 1 center rear, instead of two surround rears (as in a 6.1 speaker setup with a 7.1 amp). Can most receivers, particularly the HK330, know there is only 1 rear?

I don't know about the receiver that you are talking about. But most that I have see you can set it up as a 6.1 set up as well as a 7.1.


You could check the manufacturer's website to see if the have the manual online. (A lot of them do).
