Hi all,

I just purchased a new Gigabyte MA78GPM mother board. (UD2H) model.

Is it possible to turn on all sound outputs simultaneously?

Or at least one analog and one digital output at the same time?

Reason is:

I have one LCD in the living room which I am using DVI and Optical out.

I also have a second LCD in the bedroom using VGA. I am unable to select both the analog and the digital as my default sound device at the same time. Is this possible?

I want to use the analog out to feed PC speakers in the bedroom.

I was able to do this with my old setup. Well sort of, I had onboard sound and a second sound card.

If this isn't possible are there quality boards with decent onboard sound and video that can accomplish this?

Is there a board that can do dual digital video out?

Thanks.

You could use hotkeys to switch between sound playback devices.

There are several GeForce 9300/9400 mbs supporting dual digital outs (HDMI+DVI):

DFI GF9400-T2RS

ASUS P5N7A-VM (HDMI+DisplayPort only)

MSI P7NGM-Digital

XFX MI-9300-7AS9

ZOTAC GF9300-A-E

ZOTAC GF9300-D-E

Thanks! Do you happen to have a similar list for Intel G41/G43/G45 chipset boards with HDMI+DVI?
