I have numerous Epson projectors that we have mounted from the ceiling in our conference rooms and a few classrooms.

I need to find an IR remote that is both learning

and has as few buttons as possible. A single

button would be ideal, since we only want the

users to be able to power on/off the projector.

Does anyone know of anything close to this.

My user base is stupid and really can not deal

with a TV remote (even if I spray paint the only

button they shoudl push) And the projector

does not have the capability of "wired" remote

access.

If I leave the EOM remote out, it will either be stolen or they will screw up the video settings so badly that it would require a Factory reset to start the correction process.

Thanks for any and all help

I know what you mean. I think you are limited to three remotes.

1) Pronto, more then what you need, but I use it in our VC rooms and it has helped a lot.

2) Harmony SST-745 or its replacement 748

3) HTM mx-200 comes with the 700, don't know if you can get the 200 by itself. PS you need at least one 700 for learning

Of course whatever learning remote you get, you could program ALL the buttons for on/off toggle.

(This button turns the projector on and off, while this button here turns the projector on and off. Let me explain this button...) :)
