Can you use a single coax for diplex operation of CATV and OTA HDTV? I ask because it doesn't look easy to run another coax from my wiring closet to my HT.

You cannot combine or diplex cable and OTA sources on the same coax without getting interference. Cable and OTA cover the same frequency range.


To do what you want - pull seperate cables for each and use an A/B switch ( or if your TV supports different coax inputs do it that way). Or use a VCR on the cable and pull the OTA to your OTA HDTV tuner.
