I have a 797 ONKYO A/V with a set of Atlantic Technology speaker ( two front, one center, two surround and one sub). Since my A/V is a 6.1 system, I would like to use the channel available for a back surround speaker. Atlantic Technology says that I must buy a center speaker, ONKYO says that I need to buy one surround speaker regardless if it is right or left.


I would appreciate it if you can you cab help me to clarify this dilemma. Any advice is welcome.

Ok ur in the same situation as me....I havent picked mine out yet and am considering a center channel as well as another speaker the same as my surrounds...considering the information it'll receive, I dont think it will be that critical IMHO. I am leaning towards the center channel that has the same db rating and size of drivers as my surrounds tho....if only I didnt have to spend ANOTHER $2-300 dollars

Thanks for your e-mail. The more I think about this the more I'm inclined to buy a center center.
