Skewed picture on Panasonic CT30WX54J

I have a Panasonic CT30wx54j and when there is a ticker or straight lines near the top or bottom of the screen i can see that my picture is slightly skewed. I can see that the top right of the picture comes down and the bottom right of the screen comes up. I tried geometric correction in the settings but that didn't help. Anyone with experience in fixing this your help and advice would be much appreciated.

Turn the contrast down.

Most new sets come configured in "torch mode" by default, to look good in stores. The contrast levels are often heavily overdriven, causing geometry issues and early tube degradation. Once you turn the contrast down a bit you'll notice that apart from getting rid of the skewing the picture will also have much better focus.

You could get it ISFed but it would cost more then the set is worth. They can use magnets to help correct your geometry issue.

If the skewing only appears on tickers it is not a static geometry issue and it can't be corrected via any type of magnets or adjustments, he already said he tried the service menu.

The only solution is to run the tube at a lower voltage, that is, to turn the contrast down.

let me clarify...

Its is most noticeable when there are straight lines near the top or bottom of the screen such as when there are tickers on the screen. it is always slightly skewed though.

The adjustable settings are

Color

Tint

Brightness

Picture

Sharpness

Which one of these would be the contrast?

Hmm, it won't help too much if you say it's always skewed. How come the service menu adjustments didn't help at all?

That's a weird ass menu there. Try adjusting the Sharpness and Picture settings. I find it funky not to have a Contrast setting though. And what Picture stands for exactly... Well, i guess your manual might be of help.
