Hi folks,

I took my Skyworth to my friend's place for a replacement cap (give me a soldering iron and you'd better call 911 immediately).

He measured some voltages from the PCB and told me that the 5 volt was at 4.93, but the 12 volt only came to 9.36 volts. He then took out his brand new Skyworth and demonstrated how the 12 volt current in that was 12.03 volts.

He replaced the cap and measured the player again. Same results! The player demonstrates the same old niggles and freezes as before the "operation". I got my Skyworth really early, actually some days before HiviZone started accepting orders in the first place, so it's from an early batch.

I'm at a loss here, people. I'd like to get the 12 volt up to proper figures; can someone tell me what to do?

cheers,

.-petri
