This combo seams to be a perfect match. The skyworth is the progressive dvd player with the faroudja chip that is currently a big topic in the dvd forum.

Scaling is perfect and the picture is very sharp with no visable artifacting with this combo.

Very impressive!

Alan,

So are you saying that the Transvision works better using a progressive DVD Player (at least the Skyworth)? Or does the Transvision do a better job using its owner scaler\\doubler with a regular dvd player.

Or does the skyworth have so many other good features that its a crime not to use it?

I've watched a few movies with my skyworth 1050P and Pitsubishi X250 projector (1300 lumens, 1024x768 LCD) and the results were very good BUT still a notch below my Geforce 2 based HTPC. I project an 80" image and the Skyworth is gonna need a scaler to match the output of a finely tuned HTPC. Either way, it's a bargin. no macrovision, HDCD, VCD, SVCD, built in tetris, karoke, RGB outputs, all for under $300!!!
