Hi all i have the Hitachi pj-tx100 and i was wondering why it doesn't have a sleep timer. Do projectors have sleep timers? The only reason i can see why it dont is because Hitachi wants the bulb life to go so you have to buy new bulbs. Does anyone have a projector with a sleep timer?

I've often wished for this too. My kids frequently have movie watching sleepovers in the theater and I can't stand the thought of my projector running all night!

URC's MX-3000 has a sleep timer. Also it can be done with the Prontos and Marantz equivalents just don't add a page jump in a macro or you won't be able to cancel it.

Yes, I suggested such a feature years ago to Bob of InFocus. Basically I'd like my projector to have a feature so that after its on for x minutes/hours, it displays a message on the screen like "Press a key to keep projector on" and if you don't press a key within x minutes it shuts off. I like this approach better than a sleep timer that automatically turns if off.
