Hi all. I'm seting up small theater set up in my office. I'm looking for a small but mighty powerful receiver that is slender sleeker, tasty looking that can do 5.1 although most liekly it will be 4.1 Price range I"m looking at is 300-700 dollars.

Any help is much appreciated.

Look at one of the digital receivers: Panny etc.

Panny = Pansonic (XR-50, etc.)


To get a slimline receiver you'll most likely need a digital one. Here's a thread to chew on...

I'd vote for the Harman/Kardon DPR1005. Upgrade to the 2005 if you can afford it (to obtain "mighty powerful").
