We are looking to purchase a device that will allow us to stream live tv.
Preferred options:
- built in tuner or some other way that allows the device to not affect the tv being watched
- native PS app for viewing, though if we really have to, we can do it via browser
- native android app or support for viewing on android device(nook color running cm7)
- hidef
- iPhone support is nice, but not really a huge deal
The device will have its own coax input and probably be connected via Ethernet to the network.
10 Mbps + bandwidth at both streaming and viewing ends.
Obviously, I am considering the Sling Media SB300-100 Slingbox PRO-HD, which I can get for $260 at newegg.(anyone know of a cheaper place; refurb is acceptable)
Sony Location Free came up in my research, though I haven't read too much about it yet.
Any other/better options?
Also, i'm not sure if this makes any difference, but I may be able to set up a vpn between the routers at both ends, or something similar. Not sure if that opens up any options or anything, but I thought I would mention it.
Thank you.
Thank you.
