I am having an issue coming up with a reliable slot port length calculation. The box is 150L (5.3 cu ft) tuned to 18 Hz with a 3 x 10 inch slot port. Here are some of the results by various online calcs and methods:

L = 42.56in the12volt.com

L = 41.46in (WinISD; End correction for 2 flanged ends)

L = 42.56in (Slot Port = No) carstereo.com

L = 37.56in (Slot Port = Yes) carstereo.com

L = 45.6in diysubwoofers.org Hand calc method

Which of these is accurate? I'm tempted to throw out the 37.56in number just because it is a significant outlier. But I'm also tempted to keep it because it has been recommended before, and because the number did come from the Slot Port = Yes setting. What do you guys think?

Download winisd and try designing your enlosure with it. When I built my llt their port tuning was withing about 1/10th hz off actual measured response. Its pretty decently accurate. I can't vouch for any of the ones you have listed.

Hmm, but I listed Winisd
. I figured it would be close, but it's good to know how close it is. Did you have a slot port in your llt? Thanks for the reassurance.
