Sluggish input from Harmony 550

I've been using the Logitech Harmony 550 for a while now, and although I love the feature rich design, I have one annoying problem with it; it has very sluggish input performance.

Whenever I press a button, there is a slight delay to which the on screen action occurs. This is annoying when I'm selecting a few things from a menu... but devastating when I'm scrolling through long lists and the guide. When using the media remote that came with my TV Tuner, I do not notice any delay--it's instantaneous.

Is there a setting in Windows 7 Media Center or the Harmony software that will help? I've tinkered with the delays in the harmony software, but it doesn't help at all (Unless there is a specific delay setting I need to alter to fix the issue).

Please, if any of you have any advice on how I can correct this, please share. Thanks in advance!

What kind of IR receiver are you using. It may be that.
It's the one that came with my Hauppauge 2250. It shouldn't be the receiver as it works perfectly with the included remote.
Does anybody else have this problem?
I use the Logitech Harmony 550 and only have issues when the battery is running low. The IR receiver is a standard MCE IR Receiver model 1040. The remote normally controls 4 devices without any issues.
Come to think of it, there was a sticker on the remote that said "You must change batteries before use", but I'm not sure if I ever did. They still worked so I figured I wouldn't bother. Perhaps it IS a battery issue. I'll see if changing them helps.
