I should be replacing my HTiB speakers today, but only the fronts. I am getting monitor 60s and a cs2. The cs2 has a response of 55Hz - 25kHz and the 60s' response is 38Hz - 25kHz.


My rear speakers response is 80 Hz–22 kHz.


The subwoofer has a response of 30 Hz–150 Hz.


From what I have read, I leave my setting on small speakers. However, I also read that my crossover should be set at something like 80hz, but since I still have the old rear speakers, should I keep it higher, like 100hz?

The "minimum" crossover suggested at 80hz, although side and rear surrounds may have crossovers as high as 200hz. You can raise the rears to 100hz if that sounds better to you.

Being a low-end receiver, I only have one crossover. It gives me no option for rear, front, or center crossover.

Then try both 80hz and 100hz and see if you prefer one over the other.
