I'm looking for a small HDTV display to replace my current 27" Proscan analog TV. 32 inches is the absolute max, and I really wouldn't mind finding a 27 incher.

Does anyone have any experience with the Samsung TSL2793 or the Hitachi 32UDX10S, or for that matter, with any other good small monitors? TIA - Pat

I too am in your quandary. I want a 27" or 32" direct view set- and I am set in this decision. I have decided to wait for 16:9 technology. And I find the 16:9 34' direct views to be to hard to look at for long- I think 16:9 needs to be at least 38-40" to be watchable for long, plus to me 16:9 34's in 4:3 mode seem about the equivalent to a 25 inch 4:3 (though I know most claim 27")

The 27 and 32 inch sets that seem the most special are as follows:

the new (as of this week) flat screen Sampo 27'

Samsung tsl2793 27/32 hdtv compatible

JVC 3d comb-filtered 27/32 inch 802

Princeton 2.7HTX (now discontinued I've been told)

Princeton 3.2 HD How good can this be for this money?

Or I could go cheap and just buy a very tunable Toshiba flat screen 27' for about 500$ - The question here is how much better can the above sets computer grade tubes (or at least higher res) plus 480p and 720p (for the Sampo and Princeton) make a 27 or 32 inch look???
