I work at Circuit City and twice today I had some customers ask if the Grand Wega and Samsung DLP will ever be made in smaller sizes (32" - 36"). What do you think? From reading online, I have yet to find any mention of such a unit. Anyone heard anything otherwise? I'm still catching up on my CES '04 coverage, anything there?

Yes. Samsung has dropped the 43" HLN437 and HLN4365 sets from there 2004 model year.

The profit margin is greater on a SUV than a Civic.

Yep, see the link to DLP CES 2004 in my signature for the complete Samsung 2004 DLP lineup. They are adding a 73" model instead.

I too am looking for a ~40" HD display for my bedroom. This size range of 30" to 40" is a vaccum right now with no good and cost-effective solution. The options are CRT, LCD panel, and plasma - and I don't like any of them right now. LCD would do, but the price is way too high.

I am hoping that digital RPTV manufacturers would come down to these sizes but the trend is the opposite.
