This may sound really weird, but I have noticed that the picture on my sharp 9000 dlp seems to have a smokey look to it. Almost like there are currents and eddies in the picture. It is really only noticeable when the screen goes completely white (like in the opening scenes of Six Feet Under), but is less noticeable whenever a large portion of the screen is a single/light color.

It's almost as though the picture is being passed through a glass chamber full of smoke.

Just to answer the obvious, nobody smokes around our house, so that's not it.

Anyone know what this is? Is there any way to fix it? It's not a big deal, but once you notice these things it's hard not to pay attention to them.

thanks in advance for the assistance.

You may want to do a key word search on this issue. I think several weeks, or possibly months, back this same problem was reported. Don't remember the out come.

i checked the lens. It looks clean, and besides, what I'm seeing is moving, so i don't think dust or other obstruction on the lens would cause it.

Last time I checked i had just over 150 hours on the bulb.

hope this helps.
