Has anybody got SnugTV to work?

I installed it on my Win7 computer with an Avermedia Duet tuner card that is supposed to support it. The setup wizard says that it can't get an outside internet connection due to Microsoft Security Essentials blocking it. I've added each of the SnugTV Station's .exes to MSE's exclusions list (and Windows firewall and my router are correctly configured) but it won't get past the outbound internet connection part of the setup wizard.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Just tried today and no luck. Turned off real time protection and the default firewall which was set up to let snug through anyways. When I test the connection the router gets the request for a port forward and notes it on its unpn page. From netstat -a it records a connection being established on the port that i tell it to use to 114.30.40.246 and shows it as a http. I enter that ip into my browser and it just times out.

Same here. I guess I'll just wait until the next release and try again. Thanks.

I uninstalled MS SE & turned off the firewall. This is just a bad message. They simply see what virus program you have and show it. Just a guess and has nothing to do with the program.

Just poor software. who knows if they'll ever fix it.

Well, this should have been obvious. The problem is my router. I have apple router, of which none of them have uPnP. So you have to go into snugtv configuration tool and manually specify a specific port then open that port on the router manually.

unfortunately, it still is flaky and doesn't always get through.
