I just placed an order for the Panasonic TH50PH9UK. It's my first plasma and I'm pretty excited. While I've got upgrade-itis I'm thinking of picking up a Denon DVD-3910 as well. I've heard that in general the Denon x910 models don't play nice with Panasonic plasmas particularly concerning macroblocking.

I'm wondering if anyone here has this combination and could share their opinion.

Thanks!

I had a chance to play with a Denon DVD-3910 for about one hour. I could see macroblocking playing Spiderman 2 (superbit version). Well, this was on my TH-50PHD8UK , I don't know about the TH-50PH9Uk/DVD-3910 combo.

For the money, why don't you get a HD-DVD player???

Thanks for replying Bruzzi! Hmm, that's a bit discouraging to hear as prices for the 3910 are pretty good at the moment. I may need to consider the DVD-2930.

I'd considered an HD-DVD player, but for me, the other part of the equation is support for SACD and DVD-A.
