I need a good decoder for my future tv, which will be a 16:9 40-50" HDTV, very likely the Tosh 40H80. So how much would a good decoder to go with a TV like that set me back?

Current prices start around $250-300 for an open box DTV-100, which is an older but still functional unit. The most expensive units are closer to $2000, and are for OTA DTV only. The combined sat/OTA units top out around $1000.

OTA is over-the-air and refers to the use of a conventional antenna (not a satellite dish).

BTW, supposedly one can get a Toshiba DST-3000 (which does satellite and OTA HD) for $410 (plus shipping) and then use the Blockbuster deal to get an addition rec'r (non-HD) and the larger dish (for HDTV satellite ) for like $10. Their are current threads on both these topics so do a search (or just look around) if you need more info!
