Brand-wise people love Stewart, with it's selection of materials and great construction.


Price-wise people love Da-lite, with it's selection of materials and configuration options.


Some like high gains, some don't. Some like Draper, some like Vutec, etc. etc.

Depends on the projector as well; CRT or digital.

For my money, Sandman's SMX screen material and do it yourself frame.


But as stated the BEST is the one that is right for your room and projector and situation.


You could spend thousands on a Stewart or other brand and find that in your situation it is a piece of garbage.

That is exactly right, so how do you know what brand and gain to buy .

That is a huge dilemma for me at the moment. Purchasing an Infocus IN76 and looking at the Dalite screens.Have pretty good control of ambient light.Trying to decide whether High contrast white 1.1/High Contrast Cinema vision[greyish] 1.1 or just Cinema Vision 1.3.

Please help.

IMHO The DIY screens offer better results at a signifigantly cheaper cost.
