Alright I just saw the real one. Looks pretty sweet, glad they got Zipper out of the picture too. Hope they change the camera angle from the over the shoulder (as seen in the video) to what it is now in Combined Assault. Can't wait to see more as it becomes available.

This seems to be just a cranked up version of the PS2 SOCOM for the Playstation Network. The real full featured PS3 SOCOM is supposed to be released Fall of 2008.

I had heard that it was fall 07, where did you hear 08 from?
This is the Slant Six version of SOCOM. 32 player Multiplayer only 4 months in development and going to be released this fall on Blu-Ray or PSN. Looks decent but a bit rushed.

The REAL SOCOM is coming Fall 2008 and being developed by ZIPPER.

You nailed it there. Ruined the game completely. I was addicted to SOCOM 2. I'll definitely take this for now.
I thought the fact you could give voice orders to your AI teammates was pretty cool.

I hope they expand the maps some. 32-players may disrupt some of the strategy that makes SOCOM so much fun. I don't enjoy RFOM online all that much because its all shoot and very little thought. Hopefully they won't turn SOCOM into that kind of environment. I think 16 players a side could be a bit too chaotic.

Though, if they do it properly and make the maps big enough, 16 players, having to conquer different goals to complete one objective would be fun. It would require teamwork, communication and some strategy to get it all done. Hopefully the game makers have put some thought into it in ways to better utilize the amount of players without ruining its original spirit.
32 players on Crossroads is going to be a little crowded.
Is there going to be a beta of Socom: Confrontation?
