When booting, the left hand side of my rptv is way out of convergnece. All of the BIOS information is offset in 3 colors 1 ontop of the other. After its completely booted the left hand side is majorly soft and the right hand side slightly soft. The center of the tv is fine.

Is this the cheap Radeon card showing its ugly face?

Hello Richard,

I'm not exactly sure why you are seeing that type of display. You've probably already have done these steps but my guess would be to :

1. Make sure the monitor cable is attached firmly on both ends.

When my VGA cable is slightly loose, I see ghosting of the image which sounds like what you are seeing. Are you using VGA out or S-Video out to your RPTV?

2. Try a different monitor cable just to see if that makes a difference.

3. Try a different driver for the VE or monitor.inf file

4. If you have access, try to put the VE in another pc to see if it displays the same symptoms.

Good Luck,

Rick

Hi Richard, heres a thought. Have you adjusted the position of your desktop via the software control in the display properties. If so then what you may be seeing is screen "wrap around". This is when the output is pushed so one way that it starts to lose definition. If you have try re-centering it and see if that helps.
