Ok, I posted this as a request over on the Theatertek forums, but I'll ask it here also. I want to be able to play a dvd, have it send the audio (ac3) over spdif, ignore the video, and instead play a visualization like Winamp and/or WMP.

The reason for this is I have a lot of concert dvds and dvd-audio discs (just playing the ac3 from the disc) and I'm getting tired of watching the video of the concert (or the "still" from the dvd-audio discs). I would rather the video be a visualization kinda like Geiss, but in HD of course. I've tried playing a dvd through Winamp, that's a no go. I've tried playing the dvd through WMP, but while it plays fine, WMP doesn't offer visualizations, it just plays the video from the disc.

I know I can rip the ac3 from the discs and then convert them to another codec, but I'm curious if there is a software player that just does what I've described above. Anyone know of any? Thanks in advance.
