I noticed that Lutron has an integration protocol for RadioRA 2 and that someone wrote an Indigo plugin for it ( http://jimandnoreen.com/?p=96#comment-11686 ). As inspiring as it was to see that it has been done, I am not a Mac user and don't ever plan to be. I do however have a power sipping media computer that hangs out right next to the RadioRA 2 repeater and is always on.

What I am trying to find out is whether or not any other software might be able to talk to the RadioRA 2 main repeater or might be possible for a user to make a plug-in for. Anyone have any helpful knowledge?

edit: I found a few possiblities to start with...

mControl supports RadioRa 2

Housebot supports scripts and RS232 in a way that should allow a user to develop something workable

Homeseer should also allow a RadioRa 2 plugin to be developed

Any other software out there?

Our CQC product is Windows based and has a RA2/HWQ driver, so that might be an option for you ( www.charmedquark.com ).

CQC looks interesting. I like that you can control lighting through a map of the house.

What package would I need to integrate the following and what IR blaster/reciever would you recommend? (obviously some devices, like the Wii, can't be controlled by CQC in any way) I am thinking that the majority of control would be through an iPad, Android tablet, or Harmony remote. Can CQC pickup commands detected by the IR receiver in a Lutron Seetouch keypad?

RadioRA lighting and fan controls (RR dimmers, switches, fan controllers, pico, and seetouch keypads) (~ 30 devices)

Windows Kitchen computer (always on and running CQC software in background)

Toshiba LCD TV (attached to kitchen computer)

Android Tablet

Ipad

Denon AVR-1910 reciever

Harmony

The following output A/V through the Denon AVR

Home theater computer (on when needed)

PS3 (used as BR/DVD player)

PS4

Xbox 360

Wii

Epson Powerlight 1080 Projector ( can be controlled by IR or RS232 )

That's getting pretty CQC specific, so probably best to sign up on the support forum and ask there. But it's doable.
