It is not in the same frequency range. And if it were it would be a pain to point it at your rack. Things may have changed since i looked into it a year ago. Now I use netremote and girder and a buch of beta stuff.
Software to turn laptop into ir remote?
Is there software that will utilize my laptops IR and turn it into a remote control, software would use a ccf file? file or 'learn' existing remote capabilities?
