I'm interested in this TV, is it still available?
thanks,
Mike
Ok, thanks, Just checking with my buddy in Sacramento about picking it up. I'll reply shortly.
Mike
My buddy in Sacramento won't be in LA for about a month. I live in New Jersey, but I would use the TV in Palm Springs, any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike

Do you know anyone in PS with an SUV or a truck? It's about 90 miles from here, and I would be willing to meet someone half way. The set has been boxed up in its original box, so is reasonably stable for transport.

Also, absolutely no offense meant, but you just joined this forum a few days ago, and the only posts you have are to me, and I'm concerned about payment and how that's going to go. I've been here and on eBay for more than two decades. There have been instances here where sales of used gear have not gone well in terms of the seller getting paid.
Yes, I'm working on that angle also, may have better luck with this option.
And no offense taken, I understand your concerns completely. I (re) joined this forum to respond to your add. I believe I'm still a member of the HT Forum from the mid 1990's, just not that active. I have one of these tv's here in Jersey, and I think its one of the best ones made, that's why I want to purchase yours for my place in PS. I'm one of the few left who still digs 3D. I've been an AV enthusiast since the 1980's, and have a really nice collection of vintage gear, all formats, in addition to my HT system.
Is this on eBay also? what's the auction #? I could PayPal you there...
thanks,
Mike

No, it's not listed on eBay. Once they started forcing sellers to give them bank account access and wouldn't allow PayPal as payment earlier this year, I was pretty much done selling things there.

Yes, I agree, this really was a flagship product, and mine is a nice example of that. I boxed it back up this weekend when the new set arrived, then this morning I remembered I left all my 'smart apps' intact with my login info, so I'm going to have to partially unbox it, fire it up, and log out of everything. I will not just do a factory reset because I'm pretty certain that would wipe out all the calibration settings done by Value Electronics.

If you can't find someone in PS, and you want to prepay with PayPal, I will hold it for you until you're out this way and then can meet you halfway. I have been on ebay as blue11 for more than two decades with about 700 feedbacks, 100% positive. I'm reliable.

Let me know how you want to proceed, Mike. Thanks.
Ok, I'll pay your asking price if you will meet my guy half way in Fontana at the Palm Court Shopping Center right off the 10, is that agreeable? And it comes with the stand, yes? Are there any blemishes to speak of?
If yes, I'll check with him now and let you know. You can check my feedback out on ebay, I'm mikegnj and have been a member since 2000, 100% positive feedback. Thanks Doug.
good news, my guy will be at the UCLA medical center tomorrow and could pick up the TV, where do you live from there?
and please confirm the exact boxed dimensions are 63X 40X 7"?

The box is very slightly smaller than that in every dimension (like by 1/4"). About 70 lbs.

UCLA is my health provider. There are many UCLA medical centers all over L.A. County. I've been to like half a dozen different ones over the years.

As an aside, I just discovered that unless an ebay user has an active sale going, it is now impossible to see their feedback. That was interesting.

Anyway, at this point I'd like to switch to email away from here if that's OK with you to give you my PayPal details, address, and make final arrangements. Email me at [email protected], please, but do not PayPal to that email.

Thanks.
